Fun with Filters

While photographing filters for my “Camera Bag” page, I decided I liked the way the light and colour were reflected on the surface I was using.

So I had fun making some abstract shots using filters, a mirror, and the background (a potted plant).

On a rainy day, even photography equipment can make for interesting photographs.

Reflection of Me

I suppose this is what I look like, a lot of the time, a camera positioned in front of my face.

There was a broken piece of glass against an old shed the other day, and I had to capture it. I had intended to make a few compositions of the slivered shards and reflected light. When I stepped in front of it, it was myself that I saw. (Three times over!)

So I took a picture of me, instead.

Barefoot in the Fall

Sometimes, one outing provides for many memorable moments…

A Rainbow in the House

We had just gotten in the door when I heard squealing from the kitchen.

“MOM!! Come see! There’s a rainbow in the house!”

And so there was.

As clear as anything, a pretty rainbow looked as though it had been painted up the wall and over the ceiling. We were captivated.

The sun was striking a CD we had left on the counter, creating this incredible phenomenon. It lasted only a few moments; we were lucky to have arrived at just the right time.
