This shingled shop sits alongside the river in the Miramichi. Although it was not open the day we visited, I loved the weathered appeal of the building, and was drawn to the sign.
I had to bring my car to the Miramichi for service yesterday, so I asked a friend what to do for four hours in this small town. She suggested Ritchie Wharf.
It turned out to be a great spot. There was a big playground for the kids, quaint little shops, and a wharf along the river. When the kids got bored, I made up a photography scavenger hunt for them with their iPods.
Wandering along the wharf, I found a few spots to photograph as well.
This shot is my favourite.
