It is incredible what can be made from the simplest of supplies.
When I went out to the garage to see what my husband was working on the other day, I found him with this rose. He had created the entire thing from a tin foil pie pan. Our children had decided that we should give each other a handmade gift, and this is what he made for me.
The best gifts are handmade.
Like these Christmas trees, made by my husband and daughter:
At a craft fair on the weekend, we spotted an adorable rustic snowman and contemplated buying it.
“We can make that at home,” my son said.
And they did. My husband made me two square snowmen using old wood we had lying around. Then, my daughter made these (above). And my son made me a sign with an arrow to the North Pole.
These handmade gifts hold more meaning than any we could have bought.
