Things that made me smile on Mother’s Day

  1. Handmade cards
  2. Handwritten coupons for free kisses and quiet time
  3. Child-wrapped gifts
  4. A blouse that my daughter knew I liked and secretly had her dad take her to buy
  5. A camera necklace
  6. Sleeping in
  7. Heart-shaped eggs
  8. Hugs and kisses and spending the day with my son and daughter

They are updating the library at my children’s school, so they have held a sale to purge outdated books from their stacks.

My nine-year-old daughter purchased this book, I Can be a Photographer, because it made her think of me.

She is a sweetheart.

I always love bringing home a new book. Always.

There is something about the crisp pages, the unbroken binding, the promise of a captivating story and poetic writing.

When it’s a book by a favourite author, it’s even better.

And when the book has been purchased for you by your nine-year old daughter, it’s a precious gift.
