Barefoot in the Fall

Sometimes, one outing provides for many memorable moments…

A fall day so warm the afternoon was spent at the beach.

One of the fish my children tearfully rescued from the sand bars.

A pretty patterned crab in the shallow water.

My children at play.

Being able to walk barefoot on the sandbars in October – this is a gift.

Cut-offs and Carefree

It is a summer weekend in the fall.

Temperatures have soared and time has paused for a moment. Sandals and sunscreen make a brief reappearance. Socks and shoes, jackets and hats are happily left behind.

Although the leaves tumble from the trees, I am in cut-offs and bare feet.

It is impossible not to feel carefree.
