The Author

Because I love to write, and I love to make pictures…

I’m sharing moments in words and pictures.

It’s the little things that count.

It seems I’ve always taken pictures, and I’ve always written.  I grew up in Northern New Brunswick, have lived in Nova Scotia, Ontario, and Japan, settling back home for good.  As well as a writer and photographer, I am a high school English teacher.

My photos have been featured on numerous websites, and I am proud to say they are on the walls of many homes.  I have taught photography classes with the University of New Brunswick and to children through a course I created, called, “Photography in a SNAP!”  I was also awarded a grant for integrating photography into the school curriculum.

I love capturing the details of life, especially the little ones that might easily be overlooked.

I also adore travelling, love to read, and admire pretty things like flowers and lacy dresses.  And I can’t seem to get enough coffee or chocolate.

This is my blog, and these are my pictures.

All photos on this site are my own. You can also find them here: DawnBlanchardPhoto on Etsyon Facebook, and at Chez Aristide in Bathurst, NB.

    1. I am flattered that you have nominated me for this award… Thank you! I have to admit, though, that I have been having a very difficult time finding blogs (that I enjoy) with fewer than 200 followers. This is why I have not replied earlier, not because I have not wanted to follow through with it. But thanks again, and best of luck with your own blog!

      1. Not to worry. Accepting the Word Press awards can be a lot of work. I think the point of being here is to have fun with this, right? 🙂 Best of luck to you as well.

  1. Life can get so busy that we do not have time to stop and think. Glad to have found your blog and look forward to all the “good news” that you will share. Let’s bring back the positives 🙂

  2. Hello Dawn – Just to let you know I added you to a ‘recommended’ blogroll on my site. Your themes here seem to complement my own to some degree – and making connections is sort of what it’s all about really. By all means let me know if you don’t wish to be linked in this way. Regards.
