A Summer Bouquet

This faded bouquet is a metaphor for our summer.

It is a memory of lush gardens and the hot summer sun.  There is still some life left to our summer, but it is wilting before our very eyes.  Mornings are already cooler, days shorter.  There is a freshness to the air that reminds us that fall is just around the corner.

But it is not over yet.  There is still colour left to our days, bright sunny yellow afternoons yet to be enjoyed.  The trees and the grass remain green for a little longer.

I am holding on.
