Sitting beside my daughter on the beach, I capture a shot of her pretty pony tail as she looks out toward the water.

It is the colour of cinnamon, the colour her grandmother and great-grandmother passed on to her. It is the colour of our Irish roots.

She is lucky to have this rare and beautiful shade.
